What can an AI agent do with Loops?

A Loops AI agent can read your contact list, pull campaign performance metrics, trigger transactional emails via events, create new contacts, and update contact properties - all on a schedule or in response to product events. Write actions like sending emails or modifying contacts require your approval.

How does event triggering work?

Your AI agent calls the Loops send event API with the event name and contact email you define in your task instructions. Loops then fires whichever email sequence is mapped to that event in your Loops dashboard.

Can my agent update contact properties in bulk?

Yes. You can instruct your agent to iterate over a list of contacts and update properties on each one. Because these are write actions, you'll be asked to approve before changes are applied.

Is my Loops data stored by the AI agent?

Contact and campaign data is only accessed during task execution and is not permanently stored. Task outputs like summaries or reports are saved to your run history, but raw contact records are not.
