What can an AI agent do with Segment?

Can my AI agent modify my Segment workspace configuration?

No. The agent can read sources, schemas, destinations, and profiles, but cannot create or delete sources, modify destination settings, or change workspace configuration. Write actions are limited to sending track and identify calls, and those require your explicit approval.

Is customer profile data stored when my agent queries it?

Customer data is accessed during task execution but not permanently stored. Only the task output - such as a summary or report - is saved to your run history. Raw profile data is not retained.

How is this different from Segment's built-in reporting?
