A Render AI agent can list and inspect your services, check deployment status, pull build and runtime logs, list databases, trigger new deploys, and suspend services. It can run on a schedule to proactively monitor your infrastructure or respond on demand. Write actions like triggering deploys or suspending services always require your approval.

Will my agent automatically redeploy services without asking?

No. Any action that changes infrastructure state - including triggering deploys or suspending services - requires your explicit approval before it runs.

Can I get notified when a deploy fails?

Yes. Set up a scheduled task that checks recent deploy statuses and posts a Slack message or sends an email when a failure is detected. Pair it with the Slack or Gmail integration for end-to-end alerting.

Does the agent have access to my environment variables or secrets?

No. The Render integration only exposes service metadata, deployment history, and logs. Sensitive config like environment variables and secret files are not accessible.
