What can an AI agent do with Anthropic?

How are API costs tracked?

Token usage is returned with every completion response and recorded in your run history. You can add a count tokens step before expensive calls to estimate cost, or monitor cumulative usage across runs with a scheduled reporting task.

Is my Anthropic API key stored securely?

Yes. Your API key is stored encrypted and is only used at execution time to authenticate requests to Anthropic's API. It is never included in run logs or shared with other users.
